What is 3rd N Goal?

3rd N Goal, or 3NG, is an independent college football website built to bring schedules, statistics, ratings, rankings, and game predictions together in one place.

The goal is simple: make it easier to follow college football, compare teams, understand how they are performing, and look beyond the win-loss record when evaluating a season.

The 3NG System

The ratings, rankings, and predictions presented on 3NG are independently produced by the 3NG system.

Outside data sources are used to provide information such as schedules, game results, statistics, and other inputs. 3NG then uses that information to produce its own ratings, rankings, calculations, and game predictions.

3rd N Goal is a personal, independent college football project. It is built around a love of the game and an interest in understanding what happens beyond the final score.

The site will continue to evolve as the 3NG system develops, new seasons are played, and additional ways of evaluating college football are added.
